Two more weeks until Aaron comes back to the states! Yay! I can't wait to have him back. This "single mom" thing sucks! I love Jacob, but it's extremely hard to be doing everything all by myself. I guess this is a good breaking in period for me before Aaron has to leave for 6 months. It might be easier too once we are in our new home. Right now Jacob wakes up to almost everything he hears. Which makes it so hard for him to get good sleep.
Jacob is also teething pretty bad right now. He has his good days and his bad days. And boy when it is bad, it's bad! I have been using the teething tablets, the teething toys, and Tylenol. They all seem to help him. But he has also been constipated lately as well, so that only makes him more unhappy. I still have to give him prune juice on a daily basis. We see a new doctor next week for his 4 month check up, and hopefully they will be able to help me out with his poop issues. I'm a little nervous because he has to get his 4 month shots. Hopefully he will handle them like a champ. He did an amazing job when he was only 2 months, only cried for a split second before I was able to pick him up and comfort him. But then again the hospital was very good at administering the shots....there was two nurses giving him a shot in each leg at the same time and they did that twice for the 4 shots. They were very quick, so he didn't have enough time to react.
We close on our house on July 16th. It's pretty exciting to know we are almost done with all this. I think we are going to try and get our household goods delivered on the 17th. I'm stressed out because there is so much to do before Aaron deploys (which is ALOT sooner than we thought). Our biggest project to complete ASAP is the fence. Anyone reading this who lives near us and really loves us, we would love your help! Aaron is putting up the fence in himself. The price quotes we got to install the fence were outrageous! We would love any help we can get! We will provide all the food and beer you need! ha ha
Jacob's awake...gotta go!

Jacob's new ride
Mucho thanks to my Aunt Wendy and Uncle Mike for my new BOB stroller. Jacob & I love it! We can take it anywhere. It's so incredibly smooth and fast. Jacob can now go off roading into the grass and easily jump curbs too :) The stroller is so light and easy to push. Georgia and Smokey like it too since they are going on a lot more walks now! So everyone wins with this new toy! Thanks Aunt Wendy & Uncle Mike!

Extremely unhappy baby!
Jacob has begun teething. I thought I had a few more months before this, but I was wrong! He's only 3 1/2 months old and screaming like crazy because his teeth are killing him. The last few days have been tough! But tonight tops all others! I'm using the teething tablets, but not having much luck. The Orajel is helping a little. He is crying so hard for so long that he eventually crashes. It's so hard to see him so upset. The last two nights I have been lucky to get maybe 4 hours or sleep. He is so restless and doesn't want to sleep. And to top it off, he is constipated! The poor dude is still having poop issues. We get to see a real American doctor on the 2nd, so hopefully they can figure out what's wrong. Until then more prunes! Yummy!
Aaron is back in Sicily and is missing all these "happy" days! Lucky him! He always has perfect timing! Being a somewhat single mom sucks!
Here are some photos of the happy Jacob last week in Gulfport -
He knows he's a hottie!
Jacob with one of my really good friends from Sicily and her new baby.
Jacob is a big monster compared to cute Addison!
Daddy & Jacob sleeping like always!
Jacob's first experience with solid prunes. "Give me a kiss!!"

House hunting finally over with!
We are finally done with the house hunting!! Our first bid on another house was turned down so we had to begin searching all over last Monday. After searching once again non-stop, we finally found a great house in the area we were looking for on Monday. We had drove by this house a few times and our realtor said it was sold. So we never thought twice about it. Sunday night we were doing some major house hunting online and this house popped up. We went to see it Monday morning and by the afternoon we put a bid on it.
It's in a newer neighborhood in a town called Saucier. It's about 20 minutes from the town of Gulfport where the navy base is. It's pretty country out there, but we like it. The lots in our neighborhood are about 3/4 of an acre or larger. The lot we have there is no neighbors on either side. Our house faces the road and has a road on both sides. Currently there is no neighbor behind us, but the lot is available.

It's a smaller home, but it's our first place and it won't be our last. There are things that I can't wait to do - like update all the counter tops! and build a back porch. This will be a great project for Aaron and I.

Update from Gulfport
We are finally all back to the states. Jacob & I made it back to the states last Friday on the 29th. The flight went really good. Jacob was amazing! He cried for less than 10 seconds all together. And that was only because he wanted to be held.
Jacob & I met up with Aaron, my mother and my aunt in Norfolk. We traveled from there to Fayetteville, NC that night. The next day we all traveled down to Fayetteville, GA. AND then, if that wasn't enough, we traveled to Gulfport the next day. So by Sunday we were all very very tired. Jacob was a champ during all this traveling. He has slowly gotten adjusted to the time change. Now he is sleeping pretty good, or at least for 7+ hours at night.
We spent all of last week house hunting. After seeing so many houses, they all started to look alike. We saw some really nice ones, and some really crappy ones. Hopefully we will find our home soon....
Other than that, everything is going really great. Being back in America is awesome! Too much food every where! Gulfport is nice. It's not home, but it's not bad. It's pretty different from Atlanta or from what we are used to. It's pretty southern down here. But we will enjoy it. Especially since we have some of best friends down here.
Gotta go to wal-mart :)
